This is a ridiculous error that is generated depending on the .Net framework used. When you are using Server.MapPath in .net framework 3.5 be sure to use Server.MapPath("..") and in .net framework 2.0 you should use Server.MapPath("~/") to get the root. Well bad news is this is not the case always. If one does not work try the other. Yes, do trial and error!

What is the difference between UNIQUE and PRIMARY KEY columns?

With the primary key column we can identify rows of a table in a unique manner. This is very important when it comes to database programming. On the other hand, a unique key column,

forbids having identical values on the field. For example, If you have column for storing names you can not have two same names. Data should be unique.
You can have more than one unique key columns
is allowed to accept NULL values. This is the differentiating factor between primary key and unique key. Primary key does not allow NULL values.

4	Lian	Chicago

Here ID column is primary key and "Name" column is a unique key.

Regular Expression for Numbers only validation

For the new site i'm working on, I wanted to validate the user input for allowing only to enter a numeric value with or without decimal points. So i decided to use a Regular Expression. After some time I came up with his solution.

Ok If you want to match a floating point numbers use this ^[0-9]*\.?[0-9]+$
You can use this to validate whether a user has entered a number (2) or number with decimals (2.45453).

But if you only want to match whole numbers like 2, 3, 333, 545 etc. use this ^[0-9]+$

How to match a specific number of numeric characters
For example, If I want 10 digit numeric character set - ^[0-9]{10}$

All though there can be more than one cause for this error, the simplest one can be this one which I'm about to tell you. When you want to add a connection using the server explorer of visual studio to a database created using SQL Server Management Studio 2008/2005, what you would normally do is Go to the Server Explorer > Right click and select Add Connection. It will look something like below image.

Then you will get a window like this.

You have to enter the server name or select from the drop down list. If you select one and click the Test Connection you will get this error.

What you should do is, enter the whole Server name like LOCALHOST\SQLEXPRESS (Default) or your own MYNAME\SQLEXPRESS. Don't just select from the drop down it only gives the computer name not the server name.

Most of the tutorials and e-books are in CHM format. CHM is the file extension for Microsoft Compiled HTML Help file. Was developed by Microsoft and first released in 1997.
As this file format is compatible with Windows, Linux platform requires a special chm viewer. Although there are many viewers available GnoCHM works really nice with Fedora.

This error occurs when you have WAMP server and MySQL separately. To resolve this MySQL Error do the following.

Reasons for 301 redirects
301 redirect is the most efficient and Search Engine Friendly method for web page redirection. There are many reasons for 301 redirects.

Changes in the URL. URLs might change because of changes in the file names of your website. For example, yoursite.com/mypage.html might be changed to yoursite.com/MyPage.html .If the old URL is indexed in search engines or lives in bookmarks, will create 404 error page resulting in loss traffic.

Another reason where 301 redirects are used would be, when you have more than one domain for the same site. It is better to redirect all the other domains to the primary domain using 301 redirection.

Changing the domain name. If you wish to change the existing domain and use another domain it is better to do 301 redirect to the old domain. The importance of this 301 redirection is that we can transfer the link juice or the google pageRank to the new domain. If the link juice will be lost resulting in loss of traffic and advantage of ranking higher on google.
